Ever since it Procreate came to the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil more and more artists are joining the digital art rush. We are seeing a growing demand for more life like brush sets. Vivid materials is taking it one step further by modeling the most sought after pens, pencils, and papers. Developing color and brush systems that emulate popular printing effects.
The brush and effect kits were still in development when we got started on the pre production aspect of this project. We were tasked with designing a brand identity for the new art supply company. This included logo, color and typography along with digital product manuals, marketing assets and a social media identity. See the Vivid Materials Identity design case study here.
We also designed and developed a e-commerce website for Vivid Materials where customers can view the store, learn about the products, seek support, quick and easily purchase and download their products.
Designing the Vivid Materials Website
First Impressions
When you first landed on the main homepage we wanted to showcase the digital brushes and color effect kits in action. We chose to put a video together of artists using the products. We wanted to focus more on the tactile feel of using the Apple Pencil, show we only showed the artists hands and the artwork being drawn or rendered.
Websites designed to convert
The goal of this website is to get people to buy their products so the next section was a simple let concise value proposition. When designing a website around your business model we make sure understand the customers journey, we make sure we have all the critical sales elements in a well designed manner. All with the intention of achieving a high conversion rate.
